Family Fun Night

Last night we decided to go to the park for some family fun. Wyatt had a great time. He played on the rocking bird and car, the swing and the slide.

Then we came home and read books. He LOVES his books. We read a lot! He also tried walking around in my crocs. He did pretty well!

How to leave a comment

This is very useful. I copied it from Krista's blog who copied it from Andrea's mom.

In case you would like to post a comment (I HOPE SO!) , here are some very good instructions. You do not need to set up a Google account. You can use your own email to login, you just have to set it up first. It only takes a few minutes. Let me know if you have any problems and I will see if I can help. I hope to get some comments!

FIRST: Find the post on the blog you want to comment on and click on "comments". That will take you to the window to make the actual comment. As you scroll down, it will ask you to sign in or register. Click there. Don't worry about your info being distributed. It is a step of protection against spam for the blog.

NEXT: The next window will ask you for your email and for a password. Then it will ask you to type in the letters you see. Again this is a protection against spam as it helps keep out automated software robots, i.e., it helps the system to tell computers and humans apart. They say this very step prevents almost 100% of spam comments because automated software robots cannot read these. Whew. Off with the technical and on with the info needed.
NOTE: You may find that you cannot tell what in the world some of the letters are. I know I had trouble. IF you type in the wrong letters, it will bring you back to the window and ask you to fill in the password again with new letters to type. PLEASE BE PATIENT if this happens. I had to do it three times before it worked.

FINAL STEP: Once you have accomplished that step, it will send you to the comment section and you can type your comment. I enjoying reading comments.*****DO NOT forget your password! You will need it when you sign in to make another comment. Thank you for taking the time to make our blogs safe from spam and unhealthy people making ugly comments.

Weekend Fun

Friday I tried to get ready for the upcoming busy weekend by cleaning the house. As you can see, Wyatt tried to help. Sweeping is hard when you are half the size of the broom!

Friday was also Grampa's (Wyatt's Great Grampa) 90th birthday. Due to the rambunctiousness of a 17 month old in a nice, quiet restaurant, we decided not to attend Grampa's birthday dinner as the big celebration was to take place on Sunday at Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Paul's house. So, after a hard week we stayed home and hung out together. We like to just sit outside and visit with the neighbors or just ourselves when the weather is nice and we have the time to relax. Wyatt enjoyed his apple juice box and played with his toy lawnmower and trimmer.

Saturday, Aunt Bonnie and I went to Renee's bridal shower. She and Adam are getting married on June 7, 2008 and I am the matron of honor. The shower was held at Renee's future sister-in-law's house and was very nice. It was a flip flop theme and the decorations and food were perfect. The cake was 2 tiered and was decorated with icing flip flops and the wedding date on it. I wish I would have gotten a picture of it. It was adorable. While we were at the bridal shower, David took Wyatt to get a haircut and hung out. David fixed Wyatt's hair like his and greeted us when we arrived back home.

Saturday night we went to bed early. Sunday, we went over to Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Paul's for the big 90th birthday party for Grampa. It was a fun time! The attendees were: Grampa, Dorris, Dad (Grampa), Barbara (NeeNee), Aunt Bonnie, Uncle Paul, Steve, David, Wyatt and I. Debi, Victor, Diego, Billy, Anna Marie, Zack, Brian, Julie, Matthew, Allison, Ean, Scott, Aaron, Promise and Alli all joined us throughout the day on webcam as families. Grampa's brother and his niece also called so he had alot of activity throughout the day! We had a lovely dinner of steak, potatoes and salad with birthday cake for dessert. It was a great occasion to be able to be together again. We don't get the opportunity to get together too much as a group so it was very nice. Here is a picture of the birthday boy.

Simple Pleasures

We had such a fun time at CVS tonight. We went up to get some things and stopped by the card aisle for the birthdays/wedding shower coming up. Well, Wyatt LOVES the cards that sing. Here we are in the card isle dancing, squealing and laughing to our favorites..."Celebration" and "I'm So Excited". It's the little things help me get through the rest of the shopping with Mr. Impatient.

New to this...

Ok, I'm new to this blogging and therefore a work in progress. But, here we go. We had a nice weekend. Saturday, Wyatt and I got out the new bubble machine and sat outside in the morning checking out the machine and playing in the bubbles.

Meanwhile Hollypeno (our Chocolate Lab) sat/laid in the yard in her "on guard" position. This cracks me up. She loves to sit in the yard and watch over us. She is such a good girl. She stays in the yard without a leash and NEVER goes in the street. Now, hopefully we can train Wyatt to do that too. :-)

Then we did our chores, yard work, running errands, etc. In the evening we went over to Auntie Bonnie and Uncle Paul's house for tostadas and a domino tournament. We tied the first game and Paul and I won the second. Woohoo! Wyatt played and enjoyed the domino tournament. Today, we went driving around Lake Worth. We saw a turkey and a peacock and bought some iris's from a lady having a plant sale at her home. The peacock belonged to her. He was so pretty - I think he must have heard our dogs and fanned his feathers to fend us off. The lady who owned him also owns a female and she was sitting on their eight eggs that are due to hatch next Sunday. How interesting! He's far away in this picture to the right next to the tree.

Then, we took David to the airport for his business trip to Jacksonville.
